Milk for Breastfeeding Mothers

I have been a breastfeeding advocate for the past 17 months and still counting. Having much knowledge about its advantages not only for my Baby Keisha but for me as well, I committed myself to fully embrace it. The results can be clearly seen in my daughter, she has a good immune system and never had a diarrhea and fever even after her monthly vaccinations. She rarely gets cough and colds. She’s a fast-learner, strong, energetic and happy baby. Mimicking the actions of the people around her or in the television is one of her favorite past times. I can already see at her young age that she’s multi-talented. She’s really very smart and advanced compared to other toddlers of her age. She knows so many things, when you show her a picture, she can verbalize what is it. She clearly understands and follows commands at 5 months. Parts of her face and body, nursery rhymes and songs, a little of the alphabet, numbers, shapes, colors are few of the things that she knows. Breastfeeding has a major contribution in her holistic growth and development.
Even though it has been 17 months, I’m grateful that I am still blessed to produce milk for my dear, Keisha. My breastfeeding partner is Anmum Lacta and it has  been with me since day 1 of my breastfeeding and motherhood journey.

Anmum Lacta

Anmum Lacta is a powdered milk drink for lactating mothers especially formulated to support increased nutrient needs during breastfeeding. It is a good source of the following nutrients:
* Vitamin B – for mental development
* Calcium & Vitamin D – support development of strong bones and teeth
* Choline – important for development of memory function
* FOS – supports a healthy digestive system for the lactating mom
* DHA and GA – support overall mental and visual development

I want to commend the people behind the business logo design of Anmum Lacta. It’s a good representation of the product with a tag line “caring for you and your baby”. You can clearly see the hand of a mother and a baby. Lactating mothers are recommended to drink 2 glasses of Anmum Lacta consisting of 4 scoops of it to 200 ml. of safe drinking water. Do not forget that breastfeeding is best for babies up to 2 years of age.

  1. How’s the taste? My OB told me to drink Anmum Materna when I was still pregnant but didn’t like the taste. I’m still breastfeeding my toddler (27 months).

  2. I’m also an advocate of breastfeeding. Same tayo ng experience, my daughter never had any fever after all her vaccines. She never had a diarrhea too.

  3. I was a breast-fed baby that’s why I wanted to breast-fed my baby too. Unfortunately, circumstances did not allow that to happen…:-( I know it would have been great and healthy for me and my baby…

  4. Breast feeding mother should drink milk like this and other liquid to continue producing milk. I breastfed my kids for six months because i ran out of milk. I did not drink any milk plus i maintained birth control pills that made the breast stopped producing milk

  5. this is amazing! Thanks for sharing this! I’m not a successful breastfed mother but i would love to be one someday, but no kids now for me. Yet this is great for those who are pregnant and soon to be mommies!

  6. breastfed babies have more benefits than those drinking from formulas. I breastfed my eldest for only a month since he was born, he doesn’t know how to latch on my nipple and my daughter for about six months, i had to windrow her from breastfeeding after she learned how to bite my tits 🙁

  7. me, too. i felt very sad for not breastfeeding my kids. i tried hard enough but after two weeks and the baby seemed not to be satisfied with what she’s getting from me, we turned to formulas. it was really heartbreaking.

  8. i would like to experience breastfeeding a child. since i have not given God my own little angel yet after 5 years of prayers, I am not losing hope…nd by that time, i will surely pamper my baby with all that it needs including breastfeeding.

  9. My kids are both breastfed babies. They are nine and six now. I breastfed my preemie son until he was ten months old. The little girl is until 2 years old. Both my babies will not take any bottle or formula. i am happy that they are both healthy though I have not try drinking this milk. All I need is eat a lot especially with soup that I cook 🙂

  10. Congratulations on continuing to breastfeed your child! Actually you don’t need milk to breastfeed your child. what is necessary is continuous removal of milk from the breast which means breastfeeding baby on demand or expressing milk regularly when away from baby. Breastfeeding is actually best for babies not just up to 2 years old but for 2 years and beyond! 😉

    1. This is just a supplement recommended for breastfeeding mothers. Supply will largely depend on the demand, the more you express milk from your breast, the more milk it will produce. =)

  11. I remember this milk back in the Philippines. Didn’t have it here in the US when I was pregnant and I was taking some really good prenatal vitamins though. 🙂 Gotta drink and eat right while pregnant. 🙂

  12. I’m not so sure if this was the brand I had when I was breastfeeding my daughter (that was 11 years ago lol) but my mom always makes me malunggay soup too back then, it was a big help too!

  13. I am so envious of mums who breastfeed. I was only able to breastfeed up to 2 weeks before my supply got lesser and eventually stopped. I want to continue breast feeding but I don’t know how to get my body to reproduce breast milk. I want to know if Anum Lacta can help me reproduce.

  14. Hi, i am wondering where can i get anmum lacta here in the philippines. I went through every grocery stores and mercury drug outlets but nada ???
