My Pirate Princess

My daughter loves dressing up. Maybe, she got it from me. But, I must admit that even at a young age, her taste is way better than mine. I let her choose her own set of clothes and sometimes, I even seek  her opinion regarding my outfit. Yes, this is true! No sugar-coating here. I love that she expresses clearly her own viewpoint on her clothes because I’m totally the other way around. I grew up dependent with my mom, she dictates to me (yes, at the present form) what to wear and what I shouldn’t. So, it’s really harder for me to decide when she’s not around. I’m a self-confessed mama’s girl and I don’t care what other people will say.

Going back to Keisha, last Halloween, I asked her what costume she wanted to wear. She said, assured of what she wanted, “Mommy, I want to be a pirate.” Then I searched for online sites selling customized costumes for little girls. And, there I found one. Lead-time had to be for two weeks, good thing, I was able to convince the couturier to accept my order even at a short notice.

Here is my daughter sashaying her requested pirate princess Halloween outfit.

My Pirate Princess

She feels a bit uneasy because she’s afraid of the other kids dressed in their scary Halloween costumes.

Keisha’s outfit:

  • Ruffled pirate princess dress in white, black and pink
  • Pirate hat with black and fuchsia pink ribbon
  • White tights
  • Black boots
  • Pumpkin basket

  1. so looks so cute in her pirate princess costume 😀 oh boy, my daughter gets into my nerve sometimes because she is so independent and she want’s her way all the time even when it comes to picking her own clothes.

  2. Awww what a cutie! 🙂

It’s so fun to have a baby girl, I remember I loved dressing up my daughter too when she was that age, but now that she’s a tween, she has her own style and she’d throw a fit if I even tried to tell her what to wear.. 😛
