When was the last time you discovered something for the first time?
Few weeks ago, I was so fortunate to experience an exciting weekend adventure together with my co-bloggers. To those who follow me on Instagram and Twitter, you may have noticed I posted several photos and tweets from an art museum in Antipolo, Rizal with hashtags #weekenddiscoveries. Apart from these, I also posted here the first part of our Destination Discoveries.
Just a short recap, our adventure commenced with a hefty breakfast in Mom and Tina’s followed by a tour in Crescent Moon Cafe where we discovered how to make pots. To those who are waiting, this is the second installment of my weekend discoveries.(Warning: Picture overload!!!)
Next destination: Pinto Art Museum
Pinto Art Gallery is a contemporary art space/museum situated in Antipolo City. Named as such, since it considers itself as a threshold open to all forms of contemporary art practices. “Pinto” is the Tagalog word for doors.
Just a brief background, its main structure was originally built to serve as a storage space for artworks in 2001. Eventually, it was developed by its designer, artist, Antonio Leano, as a venue for exchanging exhibitions for modern and contemporary art.
Numerous religious antique statues are exhibited in Pinto Art Gallery.
Visiting an art gallery was a whole new experience for an inartistic person like me. I don’t have a creative imagination to interpret the meaning of the paintings and the different artworks displayed there. But, through the help of our guide who patiently explained to us the concept of each painting, it was easier for me to grasp the message that each work of art conveys.
Finally, during lunch time, the company who invited us for Destination Discoveries was revealed.
Nestle introduced its new product – Nescafe-in-a-can. It is a ready-to-drink coffee capped in a can and best served cold, perfect for people on the go who want to make the most out of life and make every moment count. It has three variants:
