My Preschooler

Time flies fast. Who would have thought that the charming little girl that I breastfed for the past 2 1/2 years is now already in school starting to  learn new things, dealing with a different environment and slowly stepping out of her comfort zone. She’s on her first step of shaping up her future.

My husband and I are now on a different phase of our family life. Husband has to work harder for Keisha’s education and I have to be more matured, and motherly. Homemaking has taken to a new level as well since I have to wake up earlier to prepare Keisha’s things and accompany her to school.

We were all so excited for Keisha’s first day of class. I kept on wondering how will she behave and interact with the other kids around. I had several questions in mind, will she follow her teachers? Will she be the obedient type of student or the other way around? Will she do well in school? I was also excited to look after her in school. I remember back then, my mom accompanied me in school for 3 years. Haha! I was the cry-baby type of preschooler. But, with my daughter, I know that will never be my problem since she always shows interest and curiosity in trying and learning new things on her own. And so she really is.

I’m thankful that I have the chance to be a hands-on mom. I’m with her almost 24/7 and I witness all of her firsts. I get to document all her milestones and simple achievements. For me, this is the biggest blessing that God has given me.

Here’s a glimpse of the first few days of my little girl in school:

Keisha in schoolTheir assignments are given every Friday. And, here she is doing her homework right after school.

Keisha is on Kinder I and is attending the morning class in her school. It’s a struggle for all of us to wake up early but we’re starting to get used to it. For now, I have to end this post since I have to go to the mall and search for possible gift for my grandmother. I’m thinking of giving her a plus size yoga wear.

I’ll try to share Keisha’s progress in school as often as possible.

Yes, sometimes, it’s hard to believe that she’s growing up really fast.
