Enjoy Different Courses as a Golfer

Golfers like to try out different golf courses all over the world. It is the variety that creates a better challenge. While it is okay to have a favorite course to play, there is just something about exploring a new course with club in hand that can appeal to every golfer. Unfortunately, many golf courses are members only, which means that nonmembers do not get to play them. Even those golf courses that are open to the public give members priority tee times. The good news is that there are programs like the one run by Pacific Links International, where members can access different golf courses all over the world without having to pay for memberships at several different clubs.

Walking the Course

Whether you choose to walk or you take a golf cart, there is something about traveling across the links with a goal that makes it a little better than hiking. You know what your personal best is, and while it is nice to beat the person that is playing with you, golf is more about beating your past self. Getting better takes practice, but just being outdoors can be its own reward – as long as you are not going too far into the rough.

Hole in One

There is no better feeling on the golf course than hitting a hole in one. It is like a walk off homerun in baseball. You hit the ball, it goes in the cup, and you feel the surge of confidence and competence that comes with an accomplishment that doesn’t happen very often. Even if the hole in one is a product mostly of luck, when you are hitting the ball, you can say that you meant to do that, and you did.

Exploring the Courses

Each course has its own challenges and idiosyncrasies. For many golfers, these things are what make golf worthwhile. With a plan like the ones offered by Pacific Links International, golfers will have a lot of choices when it comes to visiting new courses and taking on different challenges. It may not be easy hitting the green, but that is part of the joy of competition when it comes to a golf game. The best thing is that golf can be played by almost anyone who wants to take the time to learn it.

  1. They all look the same to me. LoL! That’s because I am not into this sport that’s why I see all those course the same. Thank you for the enlightenment. 🙂

Another sport I don’t see the point of. 😛 HAHAHA 😀 I live in Baguio City and Golf here is like a way of life, I remember when I was younger my uncles would bring my sister and I to their golf tournaments and I remember being so bored out of my mind I would throw a tantrum and they have no choice but to feed me so I’d shut up hahaha! 😀
