UK’s no.1 coffee chain, Costa Coffee, is now brewing in BGC, Taguig. Indeed, Filipinos are loving the #LondonStyle coffee offered by the leading global coffee shop brand with over 40 years of expertise. No wonder why Costa Coffee is now on its 3rd branch here in the Philippines in a span of four months. The first Costa Coffee shop which opened last June is situated in Eastwood City, you may read my full feature HERE and the second one is in Robinsons Place Manila.
Costa Coffee-BGC is located at One World Place, 32nd St., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City. Once you step your foot inside the coffee shop, it’s like you are instantly transported to London with its interiors and over-all look. The Union Jack Sofa definitely makes a statement plus the iconic Red Telephone booth. The tables were accentuated with a miniature of the Big Ben plus the double-decked buses common in London Streets.
Here’s what I ordered during the opening:
You might be wondering why I ordered these two ( I didn’t finish all these, I shared these with my fellow bloggers, Rochelle and Glaiza ), these are two of the best-selling sandwiches of Costa. When the Eastwood Branch opened, the Melted Swiss Cheese was out of stock outright. For a non-sandwich lover, it’s a surprise that I loved the combination of the cheese and mushroom and the flat bread. However, I fell in love even more with the Philly Cheesesteak which is a new delectable treat from Costa. The beef is so tender and tasty that you would crave for more.
Since it was a hot and humid day, I set aside my favorite Flat White (hot) and opted for this Double Chocolate Cookie Mocha Frostino (P150 – Primo). To know more about Costa Coffee’s famous Flat White read HERE.
Aside from the ribbon-cutting ceremony, another highlight during the opening of Costa Coffee BGC was the final competition of Costa Coffee Philippines’ representative for the Barista of the Year competition to be held in Singapore next year. This is where Costa Coffee baristas from every country compete to showcase the skills they have learned to make the best specialty drinks.
