Have you heard the newest campaign of Mountain Dew? Well, it’s a good news for soda lovers as Mountain Dew has recently launched the country’s first ever Dewmocracy. Making it another historic mark for the brand much like their iconic green bottles.
With Dewmocracy, it allows the consumers to take a stand and vote for the flavor they want to remain between the two new and exciting flavors Mountain Dew recently launched – Blue Shock and Live Wire. Using this method, they will know the insights of their customers, thus, they can easily assess their take on which one is more promising to stay in the market. A simple yet effective and efficient strategy.
Mountain Dew’s Limited Edition Flavors:
Mountain Dew Blue Shock
– The Dew charged with Raspberry Citrus. Blueshock is known to be cool and stunning. It lets the action do the talking and leaves you, well, in shock! It has a distinct raspberry like flavor that is unique to Filipinos.
Mountain Dew Live Wire
– The Dew with a blast of Orange. Live Wire is loud and electrifying. It is the Dew that hypes the crowd before jumping. As an orange flavor, Filipinos are sure to like its taste of familiarity.
According to the Brand Manager, Ms. Kaye Paras, “The goal of DEWmocracy is to listen to what our consumers have to say and to allow them to engage with the brand. With DEWmocracy, every Filipino has a chance to take a stand, be heard, and select the flavor they want. In the end, your chosen flavor will remain,”
Mountain Dew has been doing this campaign for nearly a decade and thankfully that this time, Filipino consumers are the ones given the chance to be heard. Each campaign the DEW brand has created focuses on creativity, adventure, and passion, empowering each DEWdrinker to embrace new experiences and try new things. To make the campaign more exciting, two of the country’s top influencers to banner each flavor to victory – Team Leader Sam YG for Live Wire and Team Leader Ramon Bautista for Blue Shock.
“Iba talaga ang tama ng #DewBlueShock for me. It’s something that completes the excitement of my day,” says Ramon.
According to Sam, #DewLiveWire is something that “definitely hits the spot. Pare, ito na ang bagong drink of choice ko! What a way to be unique!”

What are my impressions about these two flavors? Well, well, well, these two new flavors will surely satisfy your thirst and taste bud, most especially when served cold. Though a bit far from the original Mountain Dew flavor that I grew up to, these two are something that you’ll look look forward to and best paired with a sumptuous meal or even when you just want to quench your thirst…
The Blue Shock flavor is new to my taste and the cool like feeling while drinking is oddly satisfying, unlike the Live Wire which is already quite familiar to my taste. Both of them are good in their own ways but If I’m going to vote, I’ll definitely choose the Blue Shock flavor. #DewBlueShock
